Black Diamonds of New Mexico
Black Diamonds is an all-inclusive supporter group of New Mexico United. The work they do in the community is making sure BIPOC New Mexicans have access to games are are exposed to the sport of soccer.
Formed in June 2021, Black Diamonds is an independent supporters group for
New Mexico United that was founded by ardent Black soccer supporters. Our founders’ undying commitment to follow New Mexico United along with their unrelenting efforts to edify the greater community on Black culture single-handedly helped to launch this collective. Black Diamonds adopted their name from the floating diamond inside of the New Mexico United shield. It symbolized the phrase “A diamond in the rough,” a metaphor our founders used to describe their experience as fans attending soccer matches in person, present but not truly accounted for among the rest.
They are currently offering free membership
